The primary computer mouse was discovered in the year 1963-64 by Douglas Engelbartas. At that time, Engelbartas was experimenting with superior methods to point and click on a display screen. The initial computer mouse was big, made up of wood, and had a single button. He called it a computer mouse as the cable came out from behind it, like a mouse. After that, the ball-mouse was discovered by Bill English in the year 1972. This mouse was more effectual as compared to the older computer mouse, which was devised before, because it had a single ball, which could revolve in any direction.
