Thomas Wlesh registered the initial exclusive rights in the year 1958, but did not discover the skateboard. Nobody cognizes who in reality discovered it, but one thing did take place in the surf town of Coronado California, in the year 1957.
A surfer whose name was John Pickens tied a tiny part of quarter round to the rear edging of his steel wheel board. This offered the rider additional control, and he was capable of doing wheelies, jump curbs, and spinning 360’s. It was then that a sport was born, and change was inevitable with all comers.
